A Morning of Inspiration and Support in Hortolândia
On the morning of December 19, 2025, Safetline, in partnership with the Hortolândia City Hall, promoted an initiative that went far beyond food delivery. Twenty-five basic food baskets were destined for two cooperatives fundamental to the recycling chain in the municipality — a symbolic gesture of recognition, gratitude, and appreciation for those who work daily on the front lines of sustainability.
The gathering was marked by emotion, listening, and life stories that reinforce the social, environmental, and human role of recycling cooperatives in building a more just and conscious city.
Cooperuni: structure, efficiency, and appreciation of collective work
The first stop was at Cooperativa Cooperuni, located at Estrada Sabina Baptista de Camargo, 4193, Parque Peron, which received 17 basic food baskets. Under the presidency of D. Cleusa, the cooperative brings together at least 17 members and stands out for its more robust structure, equipped with a conveyor belt and press for separating recyclable materials.
This infrastructure allows for greater efficiency in the process and adds value to the material, as recycling companies pay better for pressed waste. Cooperuni operates in a public area near the Hortolândia City Hall's debris recycling plant, reinforcing the integration between public authorities and cooperatives.
The second meeting point: inclusion, resilience, and the strength of an inspiring story
Subsequently, the team proceeded to the Cooperlegis cooperative, where 8 basic food baskets were delivered. With 7 members, the organization adopts a manual separation system, using an adjustable table, which allows for the inclusion of people with disabilities and respects the individual pace of each worker.
The strength of the partnership: Safetline and Cooperatives
The initiative reinforces the importance of collaboration between the private sector and cooperatives. Representing Safetline were Willamy Silva (Will), Marketing Manager, and Gustavo Rocha representing the company. From the Hortolândia City Hall, Elaine and André participated, closely monitoring the work of the cooperatives and the management of selective waste collection in the municipality.
